Dr. Yonah Seleti is the Chief Director at the Department of Science and Technology in South Africa with his main point of interested being in Indigenous Knowledge Systems.

He came to the 6SCWC in order to discuss and look out how we can implement Indigenous knowledge in to our Science Centres and even in to science education.

Yonah is not only an academic but also a heritage expert, a policy maker and an implementer. He is controversial and provocative but most importantly passionate about his field. In February 2012 the Bachelor of Indigenous Knowledge that his team have developed will be rolled out at the Universities of Venda, Limpopo, North West Mafikeng.
